Should i get my own authority

Sure, right this moment, broker freight is hot. Our customer freight is stable. It takes out the market swings and gives our drivers a sense of reliability.

When you run under your own authority, you forfeit protection, fuel discounts, fantastic insurance rates, and a weekly paycheck. If it breaks down, it could be down for weeks. How will you pay your mortgage? A blown tire could cause your profit to flip for the entire week. Freight X can withstand that because we have trucks. Sorry… Mostly lies here!!!! If you got the money ignore this article and go live your dream. I will book my own freight and work with companies that trust in my company.

I will make way more money in the end. What makes it even worse is as a truck fleet you are doing good enough to have the big nice house with the nice cars. You want more people to sign up with you so you can get rich off the back bone of America.

Now as far a insurance goes. Hell even the highest deductible I could even get was 10k. So quite spreading lies and let people have a true understanding of how the business works and quit trying to scare others into not doing it rather have them come work for you or with you. But you just have to be patient and smart.

This kicks in on February 7, Because this is the last year you can do it without taking a class. So we strongly recommend that you get your CDL this year. Your email address will not be published. So is it impossible to get on to that list as a new authority? But it does take time.

Perhaps a very long time. Our Twin Recommendations Go drive for someone first. What should you do? Get some experience.

Get your CDL. You run the show, plain and simple. Make money, lose money, do good or bad, the person responsible is looking right at you in the mirror. It's a much larger responsibility than being a company driver.

Gears , Jan 12, Straight Stacks Thanks this. Jan 13, 3. Hi Gears, how've ya been? Im working on getting my posts up so I can start private messaging, but had a couple questions for you. You stated that you get most of your loads off of load board wich I will be doing the same myself very soon.

How many of these brokers offer a fuel surcharge or how often did you recieve one when you first started getting loads off the boards, and also do you have any identity protection for yourself or is that needed in your opinion when going through various amounts of brokers etc..?

Thanks for the replies Gears and ill be seeing you on the road soon!! Scuba Steve , Jan 13, Jan 13, 4. Jan 13, 5. Jan 13, 6. Gears , Jan 13, Jan 13, 7. Old Man , Jan 13,
